DEVAN RENEA

Devan Renea is an accomplished artist and the co-writer of two episodes of OWN’s legal drama series, ‘Delilah’, including the season finale! She has worked in several Hollywood writers’ rooms on hit shows like OWN Network’s “Queen Sugar”, CW’s “Stargirl”, Freeform’s “Famous in Love”, and Hulu limited series, “Mike”, starring “Moonlight’s” Trevante Rhodes; In addition, Devan is the proud CEO of her own production company, Boss Up Productions; a multi-platform production company which provides an array of services including premiere red carpet event planning for entrainment-based events, industry polished script analysis and development, and in house producing of small scale, low budget content. She is a seasoned writer, producer, and recently added director to her repertoire, after co-directing short film, “Village Treasures”, which is an official selection of the upcoming LA Pan African Film Festival in Los Angles.

In addition to her professional pursuits during her nearly seven years with Warner Bros, Devan also presided as the board Co-Chair President of the Black Employees at WB (BE), which allowed her to oversee employee engagement initiatives geared at strengthening diversity and inclusion across all of Warner Media. She also devotes her time through mentorship with the WB Youth Mentoring Program, HBCU in LA Internship Program, and a non-profit foster youth initiative, Kids in the Spotlight, where she volunteers her skill sets as a screenwriting instructor.

Devan was the Line Producer, on a Black Lives Matter centric short film, entitled ‘Welcome’, produced in conjunction with veteran actor Jermaine Williams (‘The Great Debaters’, ‘Fat Albert’.) She currently has another short film, Village Treasures, slated to hit the independent short film festival circuit in 2024.
